It all began one evening on the M25. My colleague and I were driving home when we saw a car stranded on the hard shoulder. Inside was a lady, clearly upset and almost in tears. Her tyre had blown, and she had no idea what to do.
We pulled over to help. With traffic rushing past and the light fading, we changed her wheel and promised to come back the next day to fit a new tyre. She was so relieved – and for us, that moment stayed.
On the drive home, we could not stop talking about it. I said, “What a shame there is not a proper service that can come out and fix a tyre right there and then.” Some existed, but they were rare and hard to reach, especially in motorway emergencies.
That was the moment the idea was born. Why not create a service that puts the customer first – one that meets people wherever they are, gets them moving again, and takes the stress out of a breakdown?
We saved what we could, bought a van, and started testing the idea. From that one encounter on the M25, QuickGrip was born – built on a simple promise: when people need us most, we will be there.
